Good morning, this is David Erwin, superintendent of schools here in Berlin, and I wanted to make you aware that we just learned this morning that a former school bus driver, employed by New Britain Transportation and assigned to Berlin, was involved with potentially predatory behavior that was featured on a news story on WFSB Channel 3. This behavior was not with a student from our district. The driver, who had successfully passed a background check, had been with New Britain Transportation for the past four years and had left the Berlin routes about two weeks ago, according to the company, and is no longer employed by the firm.
